Brigandine armour

Brigandine is a type of armour which is a step above chainmail and comparable to plate armour. It is made out of multiple smaller plates that are sewed or riveted to fabric or leather. Like the other types of metal armour, this one needs some padded protection underneath to work against blunt forces. Brigandines come in various colours, the most common of which is red.

Due to how brigandine is made, it is slightly heavier than plate armour, yet lower end models are cheaper and easier to come across, and higher end ones have similar (if not superior) protection and charisma. Its fabric exterior also makes it far superior for stealth if using a dark color, and so brigandines are the best option for players seeking additional protection in case things don't go as planned.

Brigandine armour directly consists of body plates and pauldrons, and indirectly consists of leg plates.
