Canker (quest)
Canker is a task in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
If you completed the side quest The Jaunt, a short time later you'll find that Gules has now been made a Semine guard, on account of him being a noble and thus, can't be hanged for his gang activities.
He is, however, taking his new duties seriously and so requests you help take out the remainders of the gang in the area.
Quick walkthrough
- Find Canker's camp.
- Break up Canker's gang
- Bring Gules Canker's mace.
Detailed walkthrough
Gules will point out that the simplest way to track down Canker is to patrol the regions he’s known to frequent and keep an eye out for someone dressed as a monk.
To locate his hideout, head to the point where the stream running south from Troskowitz to Nebakov Mill crosses a road roughly midway between the two villages. On your map, you'll notice the stream flows directly south, flanked by two other roads also heading in the same direction. Canker’s camp lies in the valley just off this stream. Follow the water into the valley—soon you'll stumble upon a wrecked wine wagon. Keep moving south through the narrow rock passages that mark the valley's entrance from the north. Once through, you’ll find his camp to your right, not far from the opening.
Canker has two maces, but only Canker's mace is important for the quest. If it cannot be found in his inventory, it should be near his body.
Once Canker is dealt with and you’ve secured his mace, return to Gules to claim your reward of 85 Groschen. You will be able to keep the mace after, if you so wish.
Notes
- Complete the objective 'Find Canker's camp' before killing Cranker. If the player kills Cranker before finding the camp, Cranker does not drop Cranker's mace which is required in order to finish the quest.
- This task will fail during the quest Necessary Evil, if it hasn't been completed yet. Therefore, it should be completed beforehand.
