Hrádek is a location in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Background

Hrádek is one of the main castle in Kuttenberg.

Historical context

Hrádek is a historic castle dating to the begin of 14th century.

The first mention of Hrádek dates back to 1312, when it was only a wooden fort to help protect the emerging mining settlement from the west, which was easily vulnerable from the plain. Towards the end of the 14th century, it gradually became a fortified residence for nobles. At the beginning of the 15th century, between 1400 - 1420, the royal bailiff Wenceslas of Donin started radical constructions on Hrádek to make it gothic, residential and fortified.

Hrádek probably served as a residence for large mining families like Ruthard. And it was probably in 1403 that Jesek of Donin, when he came to Kuttenberg, lived here for a few days. Hrádek was used to be able to go into the mines by going directly into the cellar. During the Hussite Wars, construction stopped and Hrádek suffered damage.
