Italian Court (Czech: Vlašský dvůr) is a location in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Background

Italian Court is one of the main castle in Kuttenberg. It is the stronghold of the royal authority.

Historical context

The Italian Court is a historic castle dating back to the late 13th century and was the most restricted and important castle in Kuttenberg. It served as the mint of the Kingdom of Bohemia and the Holy Roman Empire. On July 1, 1300, King Wenceslaus II of Bohemia issued the Prague groschen coin, significantly improving the Italian Court. Over time, several mintmasters succeeded one another, with this role being one of the most powerful in the city.

Influential lords from prominent families, such as the Rotlev, Pisek, and Ruthard families, held positions at the royal court in Kuttenberg. When the city fell in January 1403, Konrad of Vechta, the mintmaster, was forced to leave, and Sigismund replaced him with Oldrich Vavak of Hradec, a member of the League of Lords.

On July 18, 1403, Sigismund convened a security meeting with his allies to address the rebellion in Bohemia before departing to fight Ladislaus I of Naples in Hungary.
