Last Rites is the prologue main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, where the player learns the basic game mechanics.

Detailed walkthrough
At the start of the quest, the player assumes control of Father Godwin, who is tasked with defending Suchdol alongside Sir Hans Capon and a contingent of soldiers. The initial objective requires the player to ascend the stairs to the front ramparts and engage the attacking forces using a crossbow.
After sustaining the defense for a period, Praguer heavy infanry reach the castle gates and are attempting to break through the portcullis. As a result, the player is directed to move down into the courtyard to assist in protecting the gate while continuing to fire upon the advancing enemies. The battle then shifts as the player follows the commander, Dry Devil, up the walls, where melee combat becomes necessary to repel additional attackers.
The sequence concludes with an objective to knock down a ladder to prevent further enemy reinforcements. Following this, a cutscene transitions the narrative to the journey of Hans and Henry, leading into the subsequent quest, Easy Riders.
