The village of Mesholes (Czech: Mezholezy) is a location in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Background

Mesholes is a village in Kuttenberg region.

Historical context

Mesholes is an historical village with a fort founded in 14th century.

The village and its fort are mentioned in 1384, in the list of land holdings of the Sedletz Monastery. In 1386, it also appears in a census where "coins" and capella monetariorum are associated with the place, suggesting a role in economic transactions or in a modest religious center, such as a small chapel. In the early 15th century, the lord member of the royal court of Kuttenberg Francis of Rosental is the owner of Meholes.

The village is the victim of looting and clashes between loyalist soldiers and of Sigismund soldiers in December 1402. In 1403, while the village is known for its coarse sandstone and quarried stones, all deliveries are suspended.

Meholes was probably abandoned or isolated in 1403.
