The Kingdom Come: Deliverance Wiki has an official Discord server serving the wiki and its community. Users can talk about a variety of topics, from wiki matters to general discussion. The wiki is not always the easiest nor the best way to have a chat, so we encourage everyone to join the server.

Discord rules and guidelines

Like any Discord server, the Kingdom Come Deliverance Wiki Discord has several rules and regulations set in place in order to keep our community safe and toxicity-free. This guide is aimed at detailing the rules and guidelines present within the server, in addition to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines which can be found here and hererespectively.

We do not expect our rules to be perfect and all encompassing.
Just because the rule wasn't listed here doesn't mean that it's okay to do it. We will not tolerate attempts to loophole or circumvent them.

Channel usage

  • #wenceslas-sqare for general discussion
  • #citadel-antiquary for wiki and editing discussion
  • #convoy-to-kuttenburg to discuss Kingdom Come Deliverance, its gameplay, and lore
  • #the-dungeon for memes
  • #serf-quarters for bot commands
1.1. Keep discussions within their proper, designated channels, and if possible, keep the channels on-topic.
1.2. If possible, don't derail or disrupt a current conversation on-going within a channel.
1.3. While deleting and editing messages is allowed, only do this if it is necessary, as it floods moderation logs. Disruptive or misrepresentative alteration or removal of information is strictly prohibited.

User conduct

2.1. At all times, be civil, courteous, and follow proper etiquette. Do not engage in personal attacks, hate speech, harassment, threats, or sexually suggestive or degrading language. Use common sense and when in an argument agree to disagree.
2.2. In addition to 2.1, usage of any manner of slurs, racial bigotry, or sexually degrading language are very much extremely prohibited. This will result in an immediate ban.
2.3. Don't spam the chat or speak in all capital letters, send advertisements and malicious links within the server's channels, or ping other users repetitively. Don't spam the same messages 6 times because no one is responding to you. That may be because you are in the wrong channel or asking in a channel with an active conversation, so try to move to other channels when that happens.
2.4. Alt accounts are not allowed in under any circumstances unless exclusively used by moderators only for testing purposes.
2.5. Do not violate other users' personal privacy. Do not reveal or publish personally identifiable information about users (real name, location, age, personal photos, IPs, etc), link to other users' personal social media accounts, or violate requests for confidentiality. Blackmailing, doxxing, personal attacks at other users both in the server and in direct messages (with proper concrete evidence) is not tolerated and will result in an immediate ban pending moderator review and approval.
2.6. Utilise the server user profile feature properly. Avoid having long or inappropriate usernames or server profile pictures.

Media, voice chat, and bot usage

3.1. NSFW (not safe for work) content in the form of text, images, and videos are strictly prohibited. Inappropriate profile pictures, usernames, and statuses are not tolerated.
3.2. Refrain from posting any content with sensitive content or topics in it that might trigger other users. This includes religion and politics.
3.3. The same rules generally apply to voice chat. Take turns while speaking to avoid talking over others. Most of the bots on the server are mostly used for moderation purposes. Bot commands should only be used sparingly outside #serf-quarters.

Other advisories

Moderators are given discretion in their actions.

Lord Administrators and Discord Bailiffs will moderate at their discretion to make the community a safe and welcoming place. Therefore, you should seek to comply with all moderator requests.

Nobody is above the law.

In this community, nobody is above the rules and any complaints or concerns about a member or a rights holder should report the user(s) in question (more below!).

Send a report via /report in #serf-quarters, and our moderators will work quickly to resolve your report.

Moderation

As mentioned, moderators have a wide discretion relating to the issuing of warnings, kicks and bans which infringe on these rules. The content of messages will greatly impact on the severity of the punishment. In certain particular cases, exceptions may be permitted under administrator review and approval.

Offense no. Suggested action
1 Verbal warning / Official warning
2 Official warning / Kick
3 Kick / Three day ban
4 One week / One month ban
Subsequent Six month / One year / Permanent ban

These are guidelines for standard cases. Blocks and their duration are generally up to the discretion of the adminstrators as well as/or moderators administering the action. Further offenses will result in an extended ban. As mentioned previously, administrators and chat moderators use their discretion when applying these rules, and understanding of the rules depends on their perception of the rules. Particular exceptions may be granted by a specific administrator or chat moderator's approval. Nonetheless, these rules and guidelines should always be followed.

Moderators are reminded that they have the freedom to deal with situations with a less firm hand if required. If someone intends a bit of good humor, realizes their mistake, and apologizes, there may be no need for a kick or ban if the moderator feels the apology is genuine and the lesson has been learned.
