Castle Skalicky in Silver Skalitz was the seat of sir Radzig Kobyla. The main gate of the keep was situated near the forge of the village. In 1403, during the attack of the village by King Sigismund's army, the castle was the only structure that wasn’t immediately destroyed. A small group of citizens managed to survive taking shelter inside the castle.
However, the survivors knew that they weren’t able to defend themselves from a siege and so, when luckily a storm started, they managed to flee from Skalitz without alerting the enemy. The next morning, when Sigismund's troops found the empty castle, they destroyed it and started looking for the fugitives.
