Archbishop Zbignev Hare of Hasenberg is a minor character who is mentioned in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He is said to live in Prague.

Biography

He is responsible for sending the Vicar to investigate rumours of heretics in Waldensians, and Sir Hanush describes him as a "nincompoop". He suspects that the Archbishops' search for the Waldensian sect is a ruse in order to seize Hanush's estates, and sends Henry to hurry the investigation along.

Hanush darkly notes that the Archbishop is part of the Hare clan, and that the lot of them are as wily as they come, as Henry himself would discover in Hare Hunt and Sheep in Wolf's Clothing.

Notes

  • Although the codex seems to indicate that Zbyněk Zajíc of Hasenburg is the basis for Archbishop Zbignev, that would make him the father of Hanekin Hare, who was based on Zybněk's son Vilem Zajíc. However, both Zybněk and the Archbishop were alive as of the game's events in 1403, while Hanekin states that his father, Sidney of Zaluzh, has been dead for some time. Ergo, it is likely that a creative choice was made to not have the Archbishop be Hanekin's father, but simply another member of the noble house of Zaluzh and Hasenburg.
