Biography
During Hare Hunt, while investigating some poachers, Henry hears from Brada the Tanner, as well as some of the other villagers, that Betty saw something in the woods that may help him find out who is behind it.
Betty will reveal that she witnessed a secret feast in the woods, with someone playing a pipe while others sang and danced. Scared that it was a witch's sabbath, she hurried away without identifying anyone. She tells Henry where she saw the feast, but can't give him any more information.
Next, Henry asks her what she knows about the poachers who are tormenting the Master Huntsman, Nicholas. Betty is confident that the culprit is Hanekin Hare, as a set of antlers were put at Nicholas's house. She thinks it's the sign of a cuckhold, and suspects Nicholas' wife Margaret of having an affair, or at least considering it.
Henry presses her for more details, and she confesses that Margaret let slip that Hare was back, and she had spoken to him (perhaps even more). According to Betty, Hare had always been in love with Margaret, and she with him ... although once she was married to Nicholas she denied she ever had feelings for the former huntsman.
