Biography
He often works at his forge with his assistant, Artisan, and his wife. He's fairly jovial, and can often be overheard singing, a habit that has the gossips saying he weaves magic into the steel to make it unbreakable. In Tricks of the Trade, this little ditty turns out to be the key to tempering steel in a unique way.
As blacksmith, he is the middle ages' solution to a dentist. In Miracles While You Wait, he pulls Procopius' tooth.
As part of the Quest The Queen of Sheba's Sword, Henry is tasked with collecting the five pieces of a sword allegedly belonging to the Queen of Sheba. When Mikesh is asked about the sword, he responds with:
It's a load of tripe. Only a fool would have given that trickster a single Groschen. And I'm no fool. How about you? ... Don't be so gullible, lad. That bastard never saw the Holy Land - unless it was in a fresco! | |||

During All that Glisters, Henry comes to Sasau to track the source some counterfeit coins made of copper, and investigates the local forges. Mikesh tells him that he doesn't work with copper, and anyway, Zach, the blacksmith of the Sasau Monastery, has bought it all up. He also gives Henry some information about the feud between Zach and the local armourer, Ota. He appears to get on quite well with Ota, praising him on his exceptional skill.
