Stolen goods are items that have been stolen by the player from NPC's by way of pickpocketing, lockpicking chests - basically taking anything that is marked in the game as belonging to someone else. Stolen goods are marked as such in the player's inventory. If a player is stopped by a guard and searched, they will find the items and confiscate them. This can happen during an arrest or a routine search at the town gate.

Getting rid of Stolen Goods is not easy, unless it is something that can be consumed or is very common, such as food or drinks. If a player tries to vendor a more recognizable item shortly after stealing it, to a merchant in the same area, the item could be identified, causing Henry some trouble with the law. The player's best bet is to sell the item far away from the crime scene, where no one is likely to know about it, and maybe even wait until some time has passed, just to be safe.

Other options include selling the item to a known fence - someone who buys stolen goods. For example, the millers don't exactly have a clean reputation and might be interested in what the player has to offer.

Getting rid of stolen trait takes time. Fast way of getting rid of stolen trait at an item is to sell it to Peshek or another miller and buy back. The method is mainly useful for items you want to keep. Negative of the method is its cost.
