Trosky
Trosky castle is a location in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Background
Trosky castle is a location in the Bohemian Paradise region of North Bohemia, known as the stronghold of Otto von Bergow.
Historical context
Trosky Castle was constructed between 1365 and 1393 by Lord Čeněk of Vartemberk on a unique rocky formation featuring two towers: Baba to the west and Panna to the east. The castle originally served as a fortified residence for the powerful Vartemberk family, who dominated the region at the time.
After the death of Čeněk of Vartemberk in 1396, the influence of the family declined. King Wenceslas IV confiscated the property and sold it to Otto von Bergow in 1399. Otto's tenure was marked by disputes with neighboring lords, particularly in 1403.
In modern times, the castle is in ruins but remains a prominent landmark, attracting visitors with its dramatic setting and rich folklore.
