You had one job! is an achievement in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance DLC A Woman's Lot.

Description

During Chapter 2 of The Madonna of Sasau you will try to help Guta. She asks you to teach her husband Tailor Ambrose a lesson and wean away from gambling. First, you'll drink with him. And for this achievement you have to make sure you will not last until the end.

You need to pass out exactly during dialogue, not after. Check Note for info.

How to Obtain

  1. (Optional) Save before talking to Ambrose. Passing out obviously will fail this quest. So you can get the achievement first, then reload and complete it.
  2. (Optional) If you have spare point in Drinking, take Wine Bibber perk for this try. It will make beer twice as strong and will make you drunk faster. Because they obviously drink beer.
  3. Talk to Ambrose and start drinking.
  4. Choose lines with the maximum amount of cups.

Note

Unfortunately, this achievement is easily missable, even if you know about it.

  • You can't get achievement if you took Bacchus perk. It just won't allow you to drink into oblivion.
  • You can't get achievement if your Drinking skill is too high. You're too resistant to alcohol.

Oblivion comes when you reach the halfway of Drunkenness buff. After that icon changes from Drunkenness.png to Drunkenness full.png.

Though it is possible to reach the oblivion even with high Drinking skill, it is impossible during this quest due to mechanics of the game. Even if you drink a lot and fill the "happy" stage to, say, 95% (just before oblivion) and then talk to Ambrose to begin drinking, it does not matter. Game just pauses the buffs you have when dialogue starts. Mechanics require you to "collect" enough drunkennes to pass out exactly during dialogue, not after.

So if your Drinking skill is too high there will be one of three outcomes:

  1. You choose lines with the least amount of cups (because you need just a few till oblivion, right?). Ambrose loses interest in this and just leaves. You're out before halfway Drunkenness.png and with the same % you had before dialogue.
  2. You choose lines with the maximum amount of cups. Time passes, Ambrose drinks himself into oblivion. You're out with Drunkenness full.png - halfway passed, no oblivion, dialogue ended.
  3. You choose lines with the amount of cups enough to drag him into the game. Time passes, game automatically starts. You can't pass out during the game. And if you quit game (that will also fail the quest), you'll see that at this point it's already pass halfway Drunkenness full.png, no oblivion.
