Elishka (Czech: Eliška) is a minor character in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. She was a citizen of Rattay, who lived on Gallows Hill.
Biography
Elishka moved to Rattay sometime after the death of her family when she was twelve. She was quite popular among the menfolk, especially Hermann, who would go on to become the town executioner. Unfortunately, she instead married a man who turned out to be a petty criminal, and was later executed by Hermann. Although she bears Hermann no ill-will, knowing that her husband deserved his fate, he feels incredibly guilty and tries to take care of her, even allowing the young woman to live with him.
However, being an executioner, although a respected and well-paying position, made Hermann a social pariah, along with anyone who associated with him. For this reason, Elishka is shunned by the people of Rattay, which causes her grief. Hermann, not wanting her to be unhappy, asks Henry to find her husband's family in Tough Love, hoping they can take her in.
Although deep down she does love Hermann, the idea of being rejected by the locals of Rattay scares her, and she refuses to acknowledge her feelings towards him, even to herself. Henry can either convince her to leave Hermann to live with her abusive mother-in-law and father-in-law, or scold them both for being foolish and point out they are clearly in love with each other - to hell with what anyone else thinks.
