Janek was a guard in the castle of Sir Radzig Kobyla in Silver Skalitz alongside Jaroslav.

Biography
He appeared to be familiar with Henry, but did his duty and did not allow any unauthorized people to enter the castle.
During the attack of Sigismund of Luxembourg in 1403, he attempted to herd as many of the villagers into the castle as possible, and was horrified when Henry turned back to try and save his parents. He called out after him, telling him to come back, but had to turn his attention back to to helping the other escaping villagers.
In that evening's tempest, Janek was able to sneak out of the castle and flee with Sir Radizg to Rattay, where he was ordered to patrol the castle.
