Biography

Henry will meet him while posing as a novice monk, Brother Gregor. He is a dedicated and highly educated man, although like most monks he refuses to question the decisions of the Church.

Henry will need to request the Librarian's help in Scattered Pages, at which point he will tell Henry that the pages seem to be from Ovid's 'The Art of Love', which the Librarian considered to be quite lovely. Some years before, a rather conservative monk named Brother Eustace began demanding that any 'immoral' books (i.e. any book containing references to women) be destroyed, and allegedly stole Ovid's work. He asks Henry to find the ten missing pages.

Henry may also request permission to read the forbidden books as part of Libri Prohibiti, but that's met with a hard "no" - unless you can complete Scattered Pages and repair 'The Art of Love'.

Brother Librarian will also reveal that the Abbott keeps notes on the new novices, which can be of assistance during A Needle in a Haystack, but you will need to give Brother Nevlas the forbidden book in Libri Prohibiti to properly prompt The Abbot's List.
