The captive's letter is a quest document in Kingdom Come: Deliverance which is being delivered by the captive bandit.

It is unclear who wrote it, or who it was intended for, as they are identified only by "S" and "T", respectively. However, they must be fairly educated men to not only be able to make such clever forgeries, but also to read and write.

However, it is likely that the letter is intended for the Chief, whose last name begins with "T".

Description

I found this letter on the captive bandit in Merhojed.

How to Obtain

  • Steal or loot from the Bandit Prisoner, whether alive or dead
  • POSSIBLY he gives it to you after the interrogation during Questions and Answers, dialogue indicates that Henry receives it but it does not appear in his inventory.

Text

My dear T,

When I discussed with you our "currency reform", I certainly did not anticipate how the situation would develop. On no account did I consent to the coin in question being put to the purpose of recruiting bandits and mercenaries, thereby giving rise to widespread slaughter and unrest in the province. It hardly bears thinking about what might occur, should someone connect us to the massacre at Neuhof. I hereby give notice to you, Honourable Sir, that I do not intent to participate further in any enterprises with you or with your resources. I urge you too to proceed with greater restraint, for it has come to my attention that a certain German knight from Passau has been making inquiries in the region about the counterfeit Groschen. This knight, I am told, is presently staying at an inn in Sasau. There are too many pairs of eyes turning in our direction. I hope and trust that you shall understand and respect my decision to termination our collaboration. My deepest respects, S.
