Karl (son)

Karl's father is a minor character in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He is referenced by his son, Karl, as a nobleman, who had no other choice than to send his own son to the Monastery to become a monk due to his bad deeds. As he is a very uncommon character to see in most players' playthroughs of the game, he can only appear if the player makes specific and unusual decisions while searching for Pious during the Needle in a Haystack quest.

To encounter Karl's Father, Henry must entrust Novice Siskin with the search for Pious, then accuse him of being Pious. Siskin will immediately run to the Prior to snitch on Henry for his intentions to assassinate a novice in the Monastery, after which, the Prior will confront Henry. When confronted, Henry must choose to "Deny everything." Henry will be thrown in solitary confinement before being released after 1 day. When leaving the basement of the Monastery, a cut-scene will begin where Karl's Father appears to be talking with the Prior, sees the Henry, who impersonated his son, and begins a chase.

Notes

  • Because Karl's Father confirmed with the Prior that Henry was an imposter, you will immediately be trespassed from the Monastery
  • A rare item, the Noble's black-yellow hood may be obtained off of him if knocked out or killed after the cut-scene.
  • Note: This is a relatively unknown topic in the KCD community and was just recently (2024) uncovered and publicized for the first time in this Reddit thread by user u/okw1111, and later shown in greater detail in another video by Helical.
